Attention medieval reenactment friends! if you are going to be at An Tir / West War next weekend, and love being the center of attention, have I got a deal for you!

There will be a party Friday night for Duke Steingrim’s birthday. As part of the entertainment for this, I’m going to host readings of two classic Gerhardt von Nordflammen plays. I don’t see any need to rehearse, or even to assign parts – but I would love to get some commitments from players. Scripts will be provided, no memorization required, although familiarity with the material is a big win. I’m happy to find actors on-site the day of, but there are a couple of parts that need a certain kind of actor.

Somebody who is fearless and shameless. A dramatic reading of a satire requires some overacting, especially at a party.

Somebody has to do the erotic mooing.

Are you that person? Contact me by replying to this post, or through private message on this site.

The plays we will be reading through are “The Queen’s Tail”, which can be found on page 53 of the First Folio, and “Steingrim’s Saga”, which starts on page 49 15 of the Second Folio.

If this isn’t for you, but you will be at the event, come to the party! Have a drink and a nosh, celebrate Steingrim’s day, and even watch us perform.

Hey since I was in the originals including the Steingrim saga, I am game...

Leon

I can't promise anything other than a lot of fun, but I'm in if you want :D Those are hilarious! Moo?

Sorry I don't attend SCA events any more, or you *know* I would be all over that.

With lines like "squat on a pickle, lowborn cur" I'm sure you would have great fun.

I may just use that at the club sometime :)

I might be interested! I've actually seen he and his lady (plus Duke Paul!) do one of the plays.
