This year's BSG cliffhanger lacked sufficient space battles.

Doctor Who sucked a ton. It's the writing, plus Tennant is just not as good as Eccleston.

That is all.

The new Doctor Who series has been uneven, but often fun. Last season, the character of Captain Jack Harkness was introduced, and proved popular enough that he's now getting his own series called Torchwood. It's airing on BBC 3 this past month.

Through the magic of the interwebs, it is possible to get NTSC DVD ISOs of these episodes and watch them.

I'll let you know if they are good.

[update - watched the first two episodes. They're OK, but nothing you need to rush out and watch, even if you're a Doctor Who fanatic. FYI they are definitely mature content by US standards, in that people swear in non-FCC-approved ways and have sex on the counters in nightclub bathrooms.]

BSG ruled this week, didn't it?


We didn't get things that awesome from Trek.


Of course there are tons of holes in that idea, but it was really all about what we wanted to see: exploding starships, and more tactics, less diplomacy. Trek never really gave us that kind of thing. BSG has delivered a couple of times each season.

I watched most of an episode of "Justice" last night. This is a television program in which lawyers defend the innocent or something.

I saw a review of it which described it as "CSI meets Boston Legal". The person who said that seemed to say it approvingly. I think that CSI is well-photographed shit, and that Boston Legal was smellier, wetter shit with merely acceptable photography, so I thought it couldn't possibly be as bad as all that.

It is.

It's kids tv from Japan. It's got Rube Goldberg machines, and the Algorithm Dance (both Individual and Ninja modes).

It is awesome. Under 7 minutes; watch the whole thing for ninja dance coolness.

Watched the premier of the new season of Battlestar last night. The following thoughts are full of spoilers.


The episode was very well written, and made me care a great deal about killing Cylons.
